Minerals: Calcium, potassium, iron, etc. - Water A certain amount of fat in the diet is actually good and also necessary for your body to function and remain healthy. Nutrition experts agree however, that most Americans should eat less fat, especially trans fats and saturated fats, as they increase your cholesterol that can increase the risk of heart diseases and heart attacks.

A healthy diet should consist of: - 45% to 65% carbohydrates. - 10% to 35% protein. - 20% to 35% fat, with no more than 10% saturated fat and very little (or no) trans fat. So make sure you eat healthy and balanced – and don’t forget the veggies!
